The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has officially announced the result date for the Presidency University Bachelor Degree Entrance Test (PUBDET) 2025. According to the latest notification, the PUBDET 2025 result will be declared on August 9, 2025, on the official websites – www.wbjeeb.nic.in and www.wbjeeb.in.
What is PUBDET?
PUBDET is a state-level entrance exam conducted by WBJEEB for admission into undergraduate B.A. and B.Sc. honours courses at Presidency University, Kolkata. The test covers a variety of subjects in both science and humanities streams.
Candidates were allowed to apply for up to three papers, depending on their subject preference. The exam followed the multiple-choice format, with each paper containing 50 questions and lasting 90 minutes.
Reason Behind the Delay of PUBDET 2025 Result
Originally expected to be released much earlier, the PUBDET 2025 result was delayed due to a policy issue related to category-based reservation, especially regarding the OBC category. The board had requested students to submit or update their caste certificates and category information between August 3 and 5, 2025, to ensure fair evaluation and reservation allocation.
Now that the data has been verified, the board has finalized the result declaration date.
