UPSC Recruitment Alerts! The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has launched a new facility allowing educational and professional institutions to receive direct email notifications about UPSC recruitment advertisements relevant to their domains. This initiative aims to improve outreach and ensure that eligible candidates are aware of opportunities in time to apply.

UPSC conducts recruitment for various Group A and Group B Gazetted posts across different Ministries, Departments, and Union Territories of the Government of India. These posts require specific educational qualifications and experience, and in some cases, desirable qualifications are also listed.
Speaking about the initiative, UPSC Chairman Dr. Ajay Kumar said that the commission receives recruitment requests from various Ministries and Departments throughout the year. To streamline and expedite the process, requests will be sought well in advance between January and March, allowing similar cases to be combined and recruitment drives to be completed in a time-bound manner.
In 2025 alone, UPSC has already received over 240 recruitment proposals covering fields such as medical, scientific, engineering, technical, legal, teaching, and other specialized roles including management, finance, accounts, and forensic audit.
How the New UPSC Email Alert Works
Under the new policy, UPSC will send recruitment notifications directly to relevant educational and professional institutions.
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Who Will Receive Alerts | Universities, professional bodies, recognised institutions, and associations |
| Additional Recipients | Other institutions that request alerts from UPSC |
| Communication Channels | Email, LinkedIn, UPSC website, Employment News, Ministries’ websites & social media |
| Extra Feature in Pipeline | RSS feed on UPSC website |
Why This Initiative Was Introduced
Dr. Ajay Kumar stated that in previous recruitment cycles, certain posts received very few applications, and in some cases, no candidate met the recruitment rules. This sometimes led to positions remaining vacant even after interviews. By reaching out to relevant institutions, UPSC aims to ensure that merit is not overlooked simply because of a lack of information.
