RRC ER Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for Group C posts candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks. SC, ST, PwBD, or Ex-servicemen aspirants not need 50% marks. Candidates with Class 10 with ITI or NAC can also apply.
For Group D (Level 1) posts, Class 10 pass is required. Candidates with Class 10 with ITI or NAC are also eligible.
In both cases, candidates must also have valid Scouts or Guides certificates. Without these certificates, they cannot apply.

Scouting/Guiding Qualifications
Applicants must also meet some Scouts and Guides requirements. They should be a President Scout, Guide, Rover, or Ranger, or have a Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB). They must be active in Scouts or Guides for the last 5 years and have a certificate to prove it.
They must have taken part in at least 2 national or All Indian Railway events and 2 state-level events.
Age Limit
- Group C (Level 2): 18 to 30 years
- Group D (Level 1): 18 to 33 years
Age relaxations apply for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and Railway employees.

Selection Process
The selection for Group C posts will happen in three steps. First, candidates have to appear for a written test. This test will have 40 objective questions and one essay-type question. The total marks will be 60, and the time given will be 60 minutes. To pass this test, candidates must score at least 40%.
Those who qualify in the written test will be called for the second stage. In this stage, the marks will be given based on the candidate’s Scouts and Guides certificates. A maximum of 40 marks will be given in this round.
