The Bharatiya Antariksh Hackathon (BAH) 2025 is an exciting national-level initiative by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). First introduced in 2024, this annual hackathon is organised in the run-up to National Space Day on August 23.
The main goal is to inspire and involve students in building innovative solutions related to space science and technology.

What is the Bharatiya Antariksh Hackathon?
BAH is not just a competition — it’s a platform that allows students to work on real-world challenges given directly by ISRO. These challenges are from various space-related fields such as Geospatial Science, AI/ML, Satellite Data Analysis, Image Processing, and Space Science. The hackathon gives students a chance to learn, innovate, collaborate, and contribute to India’s growing space program.
The 2025 edition of the hackathon was officially launched on June 18, 2025, by Dr. V. Narayanan, Secretary, Department of Space and Chairman of ISRO. He emphasized that the hackathon is a way to harness the potential of young minds and that their solutions could lead to new technologies for space applications.
