IIT Hyderabad Library Trainee Recruitment 2025: IIT Hyderabad has published an official notification in order to appoint 8 Library Trainee on the basis of contractual agreement. The contract period of engagement for the post is only for one year on a temporary basis. The further extension of tenure may be granted totally on the satisfactory performance of the selected candidates.

IIT Hyderabad Library Trainee Eligibility Criteria 2025
Educational Qualification: If you have completed Master Degree in Library & Information Science (MLIS), You are eligible to apply for the post.
Remember, You should have passed MLIS in the year of 2024 or 2025.If you passed before 2024, you cannot apply for the post. You can still apply if you are waiting for the Final Mark Sheet or The Final MLIS Certificate.
Age Limit: Applicants age should be within 25 Years to be eligible to apply for the post. If Your age is more than that, you are not eligible.
Application Fees: Don’t worry. You do not need to pay any kind of application fees. It’s completely free. So, apply if you are eligible as soon as possible.
Pay Scale: Selected candidates will receive Rs. 30,000/- per month as a basic salary.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected on the basis of Performance of Written Test and the Personal Interaction (Interview). In the Written Exam, IIT Hyderabad will test your Knowledge of Library & Information Science in detail. The syllabus of Library Trainee will be same as UGC NET Paper (Library Science – Subject 59). The syllabus is also available on the official website. You can check it any time you want. If you qualify the Written Test, They will invite you for the Personal Interview. IIT Hyderabad will send you the details by email.

Duration of Work of the Selected Candidates
You have to work for 6 days a week. The shifts will be divied into Morning, Evening or Night Shifts. You might have to work on Sundays or public holidays also. So, be prepared for the rotational work. When you complete the 1-year training, you will get a certificate from IIT Hyderabad. This will help you in your near future.
