The Government of Puducherry, Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, has released an official notification for the recruitment of Village Assistant (Group ‘C’) and Multi-Tasking Staff (Legal Metrology). A total of 63 vacancies are available, with 54 for Village Assistant and 9 for MTS (Legal Metrology).

Puducherry Village Assistant & MTS Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Village Assistant:
- SSLC (10th) pass or equivalent.
- 3-month Computer Certificate Course (or Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/IT).
MTS (Legal Metrology):
- SSLC (10th) pass or equivalent.
Age Limit
Maximum Age: 30 years (relaxable for reserved categories).
Age Relaxation:
- MBC/OBC/EBC/BCM: 3 years
- SC: 5 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Service period + 3 years
- Widows/Divorced Women: Up to 35 years (40 for SC)
- Meritorious Sports Persons: 5 years (additional 5 years for SC)
Residency Requirement
- Candidates must be natives of Puducherry or residents for the last 5 years.
Selection Process
Written Examination (100 Marks, 2 Hours)
- Subjects: General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, General Science, Social Science, Current Affairs, English.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
Skill Test (Only for Village Assistant)
- Computer-based test (MS Word & Excel) – Qualifying (40 marks minimum).
Final Merit List based on written exam scores and preference.
