CGLRE 2025 Educational Qualification

  • Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Additional for certain Auditor posts (CCA, Auditor under State Transport Authority & Directorate of Industries): Must possess a PGDCA certificate from a recognized institute.
  • Computer Knowledge: Proficiency in the use of Computer Internet, e-mail, Word Processing, data analysis, and presentation.
  • Odia Language Proficiency: Must be able to read, write, and speak Odia fluently (as per prescribed criteria in notification).

OSSC CGL Exam Pattern 2025

The selection process consists of three stages:

Stage I: Preliminary Examination

  • Type: Objective (OMR or CBRE)
  • Marks: 150
  • Syllabus: Arithmetic, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Current Affairs, Computer Awareness, Odisha-specific subjects (Economy, History, Geography, Culture).
  • Purpose: Screening test. Candidates 5 times the vacancies (category-wise) will be shortlisted for Mains.

Stage II: Main Examination

  • Paper-I: Language (Odia & English) – Comprehension, Grammar, Vocabulary.
  • Paper-II: General Studies (Indian Constitution, Economy, Geography, History, Environment).
  • Marks: 200 (100 per paper).
  • Additional Tests:
    • Mathematics Test: Mandatory for all Auditor posts.

OSSC CGL Salary 2025

Selected candidates will be appointed in the following pay scales as per the Odisha Revised Scales of Pay, 2017:

  • Group-C Posts (Junior Assistant/Clerk): Pay Level-4, Cell-1 (₹ 19,900 – ₹ 63,200)
