- A Six-Month Fireman Training Course certificate from a government-recognized institute. OR A Fireman/Driver-cum-Pump Operator training course certificate.
- A valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Driving License.
Physical Standards:
- For Male Candidates (Non-ST of Gujarat origin): Height – 165 cm, Chest – 81 cm (unexpanded) / 86 cm (expanded), Weight – 50 Kg.
- For Female Candidates (Non-ST of Gujarat origin): Height – 158 cm, Weight – 40 Kg.

GSSSB Fireman Cum Driver Selection Process 2025
The selection will be based solely on a Single Stage Competitive Written Examination.
Exam Type: Computer Based Response Test (CBRT) / OMR based MCQ.
Exam Pattern:
- Part-A (60 Marks): Reasoning & Data Interpretation (30 Qs), Quantitative Aptitude (30 Qs). Time: Combined for both parts.
- Part-B (150 Marks): Constitution of India (10 Qs), Current Affairs (10 Qs), Gujarati & English Comprehension (10 Qs), Subject-specific questions related to Fire Safety, Fire Science, Equipment, Acts, etc. (120 Qs).
- Total: 210 Questions for 210 Marks.
- Total Time: 3 Hours (180 Minutes).
- Negative Marking: 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Qualifying Standard: Minimum 40% marks separately in both Part-A and Part-B.
Merit List & Document Verification: A merit list will be prepared based on total marks. Candidates (approx. twice the number of vacancies) will be called for document verification. Final selection will be based on the merit list and category-wise vacancies.
