IIT Kharagpur Notification 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has released Advertisement No. R/004/2025 dated May 21, 2025, inviting online applications from eligible Indian nationals for three urban planning positions under the Centre of Excellence in Urban Planning & Design (CoE-UPD), funded by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India.
These positions are full-time and purely temporary and will initially be for a period of three years on a yearly renewable basis, extendable up to five years based on performance.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Planning Research Fellow
- Qualification: Ph.D. in Urban/City Planning.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a relevant field.

- Age Limit: Up to 40 years as of the last date of application.
- Other: Willingness to travel extensively is required.
2. Senior Planning Executive
- Qualification: Master’s in Urban/City Planning.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a relevant field.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in GIS, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and MS Office.
- Age Limit: Up to 35 years.
3. Planning Executive
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Urban/City Planning.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in a relevant field.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge in GIS, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and MS Office.
- Age Limit: Up to 35 years.
