Roopkala Kendro has announced admissions for its 2025–2027 academic session. This institute offers full-time 2-year Postgraduate Diploma courses in five creative and career-oriented disciplines — Direction, Motion Picture Photography, Editing, Sound Design, and Animation Creation & Direction.

Roopkala Kendro Admission 2025-27 Courses
Roopkala Kendro offers specialized training in five creative fields:
- Direction
- Motion Picture Photography
- Editing
- Sound Design
- Animation Creation & Direction
These are highly practical courses that prepare students for the world of cinema, digital media, and visual storytelling.
Roopkala Kendro Admission Eligibility Criteria
To apply for any of these courses:
- Minimum qualification: Graduation (in any stream) from a recognized university.
- Age limit: Applicants must be 32 years or below as of the last date of application. For SC, ST, OBC, or Persons with Disabilities (PwD), age relaxation of up to 5 years is allowed.
Additional preferences (not mandatory):
- For Sound Design: Having Physics in Higher Secondary is preferred.
- For Animation Creation & Direction: Basic drawing and computer skills are preferred.
- For Direction: Good communication skills are preferred.
Selection Process
Admission will be based on:
- Written test
- Interview/Orientation
- Medical test
Candidates who have prior experience or a strong portfolio in creative fields may be given preference. The medium of the exam and interview will be Bengali and/or English.
Seat Availability
- Animation Creation & Direction: 13 seats
- All other courses: 9 seats each
Reservations will be available as per government norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates.

Application Process for Roopkala Kendro Admission 2025-27
To apply for admission to Roopkala Kendro, candidates must first visit the official website at kendroonline.com and fill out the online application form. Along with the form, applicants need to upload scanned copies of several documents, each not exceeding 2MB in size.
These include a recent passport-size photograph, signature, age proof (such as birth certificate or admit card), mark sheets of both Graduation and Higher Secondary examinations, caste or disability certificate (if applicable), a valid photo ID like Aadhaar card or Voter ID, address proof, and proof of payment of the application fee. The application fee is ₹300 and is non-refundable.
