- Award: JPY 362,000/month, JPY 200,000 settling-in allowance, KAKENHI grant
4. Long-term and Short-term Fellowships
- Duration: Long-term (2–10 months), Short-term (14–60 days)
- Eligibility: Senior researchers with significant research achievements
- Award: Up to JPY 387,600/month or JPY 18,000/day
5. BRIDGE Fellowship
- Duration: 14 to 30 days
- Eligibility: JSPS alumni seeking to renew collaborative ties
- Award: JPY 13,000/day, airfare, insurance, and up to JPY 100,000 research support
