Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira Ph.D. 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply:
- Master’s Degree: A minimum of 55% marks in the concerned subject at the Master’s Degree level from a UGC-recognized University/Institution.
- Relaxation: A 5% relaxation (to 50%) is allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Differently Abled/EWS categories.
Exemption from Written Test (RET):
Candidates who have qualified in UGC-NET (including JRF)/SET/SLET/GATE, hold a DST INSPIRE Fellowship/Teacher Fellowship, have passed M.Tech/M.Phil/M.Pharm/ME/M.D., or equivalent examinations are exempted from the written RET and can appear directly for the Viva-Voce.
Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira Ph.D. 2025 Application Process
The application process is completely offline.
- Form Availability: The application form is available on the college website www.vidyamandira.ac.in or can be collected in person from the SVRC office.
- Application Fee: The fee is ₹2000 for the Unreserved category and ₹1800 for SC/ST categories. The fee must be paid in cash only.
- Submission: The filled-in application form must be submitted offline at the SVRC office between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM on working days (except Sundays and official holidays).
Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira Ph.D. 2025 Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on a two-stage process:
- Research Entrance Test (RET): The written test will consist of two papers.
- Paper I: Research Methodology (50 Marks, 25 MCQs, No negative marking).
- Paper II: Subject Specific Paper (50 Marks).
- Candidates must score a minimum of 50% in each paper to qualify for the Viva-Voce.
- Viva-Voce (Interview): The final selection will be based only on the Viva-Voce performance (50 Marks), for which a candidate must score a minimum of 50%. A research synopsis (within 1500 words) must be submitted before the Viva-Voce.
