Eligibility Criteria for Meghalaya Police Recruitment 2016 – 1425 Constable & Other Posts
Essential Educational Qualification: Applicants who are going to apply for Unarmed Branch Constable / Firemen/ Driver FM/ MPRO Operator/ IRBN Signal Operators/ Mechanics posts, they must have to complete their 10+2 standard from any certified Board of India. Candidates who want to apply for Armed Branch Constable/ Driver Constable, Handyman, Battalion Constables including IRBN Constables posts, they will have to complete class 9 Standard from any certified School of India. To apply for Followers posts, they have to complete class 5 Standard. Applicants who will apply for UB SIs / AB SIs posts, they must have to complete Graduation standard in any stream from ant certified Institution or University of India.
Age Limit: Applicants age must be within 20 to 27 years to apply for UB SIs / AB SIs posts. Applicants age need to in between 18 to 27 years to apply for Follower post and 18 to 21 years for other referred posts. SC/ ST candidates will be able to get 5 years of age relaxation as per Indian Government Rules.
Application Fees: Candidates will have to receive their application form from the Offices of all District Superintendents of Police and Commandants of MLP Battalions and Principal, PTS Mawroh, Shillong and they have to pay Rs. 50/- to those offices to take their application form.
Selection procedure: Applicants who are going to apply for the above referred posts, they will be selected on the basis of Written Examination, Physical Standard Test, Trade Test and Personal Interview Test.
