(A) Maginot Line: Germany and France

Maginot Line is situated between two nations Germany and France. Andre Maginot was a famous French Minister of War. In the year of 1930 French War Minister constructed this line along the International Border shared with the neighbor country Germany. This line contains 22 large garrison, 36 smaller garrison with blockhouses, bunker and rail lines. In spite of its enormous strength and well articulated design, the Maginot Line failed to defend the invasion of German troops in May 1940.

(B) Mc Mahon Line: India and China

Mc Mahon Line is situated between the two Asian nations India and China. India proclaim that Mc Mahon Line is the real boundary line between India and China. But the China demand that Mc Mahon Line is not a true boundary line between India and China. The line named after Sir Henry McMahon, the then Foreign Secretary of the British run Government of India. And decision was an outcome of Shimla convention in the Year of 1914.

(C) Radcliffe Line: India and Pakistan

Radcliffe Line is the International Border Line situated in between the two nations India and Pakistan. Partition of India from Pakistan was unmarked through this line, and officially released on 17th August 1947. The name of the line was named after its draftsman Sir Cyril Radcliffe, shown himself as the Chairman of the Border Commission.

(D) 49th Parallel: USA and Canada

49th Parallel is situated in between of two nations United States of America (USA) and Canada. Medicine Line is the another name of 49th Parallel because it has the magical ability to defend the invasion of U.S.A soldiers. The becomes impossible for the American soldiers to cross it.

(E) Mannerhiem Line: Russia and Finland

Mannerhiem Line is situated in between of the two nations Russia and Finland. A military conflict was known as Winter War fought during the year of 1939 – 1940. The war was initiated by the Soviet invasion of Finland in the year of 1939, just three months after the World War II (1939 – 1945). this line was constructed during the Winter War, and was named after Field Marshal Baron Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim.

(F) Durand Line: Pakistan and Afghanistan

Durand Line is situated in between of the two nations Pakistan and Afghanistan. To promote the foreign trades and diplomatic relations between the two nations British Government en-marked this line with the chairmanship of Mortimer Durand in the year of 1896.

(G) 38th Parallel: North Korea and South Korea

38th Parallel is situated in between of the two nations North Korea and South Korea. During The World War II in August 1945, just after surrendering of Japan, the 38th Parallel came into force. This line divides the Korean peninsular between Republic of Korea (South Korea) and Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea).

(H) Hindenburg Line: Germany and Poland

Hindenburg Line is situated in between of the two nations Germany and Poland. During the World War I (1914 – 1918) German plays a defensive move by the help of Hindenburg Line. Hindenburg Line was built during the winter of 1916 – 1917.
